On a Personal Note...
Many of my customers have been praying for my husband, Jeremy. He has had a lot of health issues over the last 5 years that have escalated over the last few years. He was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in his left lung in March 2022. He had surgery to remove the lower lobe of his lung in April 2022. He was then in the hospital for 44 days because of complications. The tumor had been secreting excessive amounts of cortisol. After the tumor was removed, we discovered that his body had stopped producing cortisol. He has been on steroid supplements ever since, which is not safe long term. His most recent scans in January 2023 showed something new in the right lung and a shadow behind his heart, which could be a side effect of the steroids.
Overall, he is regaining strength and is much improved. We went on a wonderful family vacation in May which included a lot of hiking and he did really well. We also got to return to Guatemala where we partner with a children's home, Casa Aleluya. It was Jeremy's first time back since 2021 and he got to escort our sponsor daughter in her Quinceanara ceremony. Thank you for remembering my family in your prayers! I appreciate your patience and grace if it takes me a little longer to reply to texts or requests for assistance due to the circumstances. 💜 Amy
